Running Player 4.0.4 with the latest FreeBSD 9.0 and 9.1, VMWare Tools causes a Fatal Trap 12 when I either do a shutdown or try to uninstall the VMWare Tools in multiuser mode. As long as the VM components aren't loaded, such as single user mode, the tools can be uninstalled with out error.
Any ideas? I've tried FreeBSD 9.0, 9.1, different versions of Perl, etc. but all is the same.
